Professional Me

I started my career with an independent equipment lessor in 1987, where I learned and performed every responsibility that is part of the life cycle of a transaction. I loved sales. I did. I loved meeting clients, walking their floors, and seeing the equipment we financed put to work. I enjoyed and was really good at documentation and funding, and of course, customer service was part of every job. Making customers happy and being good at my job so my co-workers could be good at theirs was super rewarding.

Over the years, I earned the nickname “Mother Funder”, because I genuinely love to nurture and help people. I listened, observed, and encouraged people to ask different questions, and helped them draw on their positive attributes to be the best versions of themselves.

I retired in 2021 from a bank owned leasing company as SVP of Operations, not because I was tired, but because I was excited to see what else I could do to make a difference. I really enjoyed the front lines, making people happy, and being part of making dreams come true.

If there was a PH.D. for equipment leasing, I feel like I could have easily earned that designation because of all I grew through. I do, however, have the following related designations that are relevant to what I am doing now.

I am a Certified Lease and Finance Professional (CLFP), I have a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, I am a Certified Jack Canfield Success Principles Coach, and actively earning the Heroic Coaching Certification for mastery in energy, work, and love.

About ME

(PERSONALLY)

Jaimie_HappyManufacturing-180

Leasing as a career was not on my radar growing up. I wanted to be a flight attendant and travel the world, until I flew to Marshall, MN in a snowstorm and thought I was going to die. That trip to MN was supposed to include a job interview with Northwest Airlines at St. Paul airport…I cancelled the interview and became a leasing lifer.

I married up. I have a super-hot husband, Darren. He is kind of a big deal, Google him. Darren L. Haver, PH.D. We have the best son, ever, Jack Haver. Jack acts like a big deal, so it is awesome that he is lovely and kind. Together, we love hanging out in the yard, going for hikes, watching silly videos, and are always on a quest for the best burgers, French fries, lemonades, or donuts.

I work out of my house, and my office mates are two American Bulldogs, Stella, and Scout. If you have been on a call or meeting with me, you know they tend to participate and contribute chaos.

Me… I have rarely met a stranger. My purpose in life is to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I meet. I am a believer in the power of kindness and optimism. When I really retire, I will volunteer full time in some NICU somewhere, holding babies and reading Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

you might think...

1. I am not serious enough.

To this I say…hogwash. Do not mistake my kindness and joyfulness for weakness, I just think that if you can laugh about something you will laugh about later, then do it now…nothing is as bad or as hard as we think it is in the moment.

2. I am confident and outgoing.

Couldn’t be further from the truth. I am confident in work, because I am so good at it, but lack confidence everywhere where else, despite how well I am doing, and I will speak up and introduce myself to others, but not because I am
outgoing, but because I believe others are too and if I make an effort to reach out, I might help someone else.

6 THINGS

I'M PERSONALLY EXCITED ABOUT

Donuts, specifically maple old fashioned!

Any bully type dog.

Hiking and/or long walks (tee hee hee – yes, long walks on the beach.)
